TenGO and Xrgomics featured in The Edge magazine's Technovate section -
"It's an interesting invention and theoretically, a great concept..."

Singapore - Xrgomics, a company that specializes in Human Interface and Interaction Technology, today announced that the company and its patent-pending mobile text entry technology, TenGO, has been featured in the weekly business and investment publication, The Edge. The feature appears in the May 19, 2003 issue of the publication.

"If the guys from Xrgomics do manage to get through to the big boys, it might be a matter of time before we start seeing handheld devices with TenGO as the main text-inputting feature. And if that time comes, perhaps more people will have to start learning TenGO," said writer Daryl Loo.

Founder and CEO of Xrgomics said, "We felt that while technology has been rapidly advancing, it is no longer the hardware that will drive the practicality of future personal devices, but rather the user interface." This, he explains, is because devices are getting much faster, but how users make textual and command inputs into them has not kept up in terms of speed and ease-of-use.

TenGO makes it possible for easy, fast and prolonged text entry to be practical on mobile devices and mobile applications. TenGO reduces the conventional keyboard to just 10 main keys, making it easy to implement on handhelds and portable devices with space constraint and limited form factor. TenGO can be implemented either using buttons or as screen buttons on a touch screen. The minimal use of keys also ensures that larger keys could be used (without compromising design and form) to make text entry more user-friendly and without the frustration of typing on very small keys and missing them constantly.

About Xrgomics
Founded in 2002, Xrgomics is a privately held company specializing in human interface technology. With the rapid advancement in technology it is no longer hardware driving the form factor and practicality of the device, but rather the user interface. This is especially critical in IT-related products as they proliferate, miniaturize, and become increasingly mobile. Xrgomics is focused on meeting this widespread need by designing and creating new technologies and solutions to improve accessibility, functionality and ease of use. Ultimately, the end-user should see improved productivity, efficiency and overall user experience, and find that technology is adapting to their needs.
