TenGOTM, A Revolutionary Text Input System Launched -
TenGO's Innovative Design Creates A Keyboard Consisting Of Only Ten Keys. Frustration Of Typing On PDA's Small Keys Now Solved With TenGO
Singapore - Xrgomics, a company that specializes in Human Interface Technology (HIT), today
announced that it has officially launched its patent-pending mobile text entry technology, TenGO™.
The solution directly targets PDA users who find text entry via small keys frustrating, slow and
tedious. TenGO uses larger buttons for its text entry, yet does not compromise on the display screen
area, and also retains the conventional QWERTY keyboard layout.
Founder and CEO of Xrgomics said, "The PDA and mobile device market is one of the hottest
consumer demand areas. One of the key factors to further accelerate adoption and growth in this market
is to have a very efficient text entry solution that can deal with limited space, and yet not
compromise on ease-of-use or prolonged text input." He also added "the market is ripe for a best in
class text entry solution that has the opportunity to become the de facto standard for mobile devices.
Even more significant to consider is that widespread adoption of this solution could further catalyze
the growth and proliferation of mobile devices and their usage. The release of the downloadable TenGO
soft keyboard version for Pocket PC users at our website www.tengo.net is the first step in achieving
this." A Beta version is also available for Palm users.
TenGO technology requires only 10 keys for text entry yet retaining the same look and feel of the
conventional QWERTY keyboard. TenGO can be implemented as either a soft keyboard implementation or as
hard buttons making it device agnostic and ideal for various mobile applications such as PDAs,
Smart Phones, Wearable Computers, Assistive Devices, web TVs and Special Communicators. TenGO aims to
make text inputting on mobile devices simple, easy and fluid, fundamentally changing the way we work,
communicate, and play.
About Xrgomics
Founded in 2002, Xrgomics is a privately held company specializing in human interface technology. With the rapid advancement in technology it is no longer hardware driving
the form factor and practicality of the device, but rather the user interface. This is especially critical in IT-related products as they proliferate, miniaturize, and become increasingly mobile. Xrgomics is
focused on meeting this widespread need by designing and creating new technologies and solutions to improve accessibility, functionality and ease of use. Ultimately, the end-user should see improved productivity,
efficiency and overall user experience, and find that technology is adapting to their needs.
