TenGO Thumb is a new variant release for TenGO specially designed for simple texting on the move using thumbs
Because of the larger space occupied by the TenGO Thumb keyboard, we decided to spruce up the graphics a bit
What is the difference between TenGO and TenGO Thumb?
TenGO Thumb is a new variant of TenGO that allows a user to comfortably use his/her thumbs to type on the Pocket PC using the award winning TenGO core engine.
Because there are still very little keys needed for the TenGO Thumb keyboard, the button size is extremely comfortable for large thumbs and for users to choose to type with one thumb (one hand) or two thumbs.
The space occupied by TenGO Thumb is larger than TenGO and may cause some inconvenience in some applications.
If I already have TenGO, can I try TenGO Thumb?
A TenGO user can continue to try TenGO Thumb, as they are currently separate release variants. As such, they do not share the same database.
Why does TenGO and TenGO Thumb not share the same database?
Using different dictionary files is one of the big decisions we had to make. This is because the current TenGO and TenGO Thumb does not treat certain input in the same way. Yes, the bulk of the database is the same, and we could alter and hardcode the differences, but complications could arise when the regular TenGO is removed and the user still wants TenGO Thumb. In testing, too many exceptions seem to arise from sharing the database and we decided, at least for the moment, to split the database, assuming that users will either choose one or the other.
